A Grand Saturday

I am exhausted. We just carried all three of our sleeping children upstairs and put them to bed fully clothed.

We left home 15 hours ago for a day trip to Atlanta. We started by meeting my parents, Bee Bee and Poppy, at the World of Coke (Coca-Cola Museum). It is one of the few famous Atlanta attractions we have never visited as a family. My husband and I giggled at the irony. We have never let our children drink Coke and their first ones came at the end of an hour long homage to all things Coke.

At the end of the tour there is a tasting room where you can sample every beverage the Coca-Cola company produces world wide. There are over 100 different flavors. The most prized possession, however, was the glass bottle of Coke each patron receives as they leave. We didn't have bottle openers handy, so the children had to wait two more hours to enjoy them...that anticipation only heightened their excitement. What a way to break the fast! (What have we done?)

After the museum, we spent some time enjoying Centennial Olympic Park before heading a couple of blocks to Mellow Mushroom pizza. Yum!

We bid BeeBee and Poppy farewell after lunch and went by to visit with the trio's paternal great-grandmother, Nana. From Nana's house we traveled to Grandmother and Grandaddy's. After a bit of dress up and play time they joined us for dinner at The Varsity and KPR's first Atlanta Braves game. (We only made it to the top of the 4th inning.) Whew! What a day!!

With a clear agenda tomorrow after church I hope it can truly be a day of rest.

You mean you didnt stay until almost 10 PM with three littles to watch the Braves stomp on the Marlins. Oh my! Sounds like a great day. I have been to Atlanta six or seven times and have never been to the Varsity.
