Saturday Sweetness

Driving down the road today

K: Mom, I need to go potty.
M: Ok, we are almost home.
K: I need to go NOW!
M: We are almost home, K. Think about something else.
P: Be like me, K. I am dweaming.
M: Oh, you are? What are you dreaming about?
P: Nofing yet. It is just a silly commercial wight now.
How I love that child! He is my dreamer, indeed. Creative, flexible and completely able to self entertain. Having individual sick days with each of the children over the course of the last 3 weeks I have been reminded how vastly different their needs are. I have the full spectrum represented in my home: high, medium and low maintenance. (I'll refrain from documenting who is who.)

After fighting off what appears to be Round Two of the Winter crud that settled into my home for the last 4 weeks, we were finally able to get outside and enjoy some sunshine today.

Even though the sunlight cast a strange glare, I love this one of K. She is generally so silly and joyful in pictures, to catch a thoughtful mood is much more rare. (Here she is picking flowers for our neighbor.)And while P lost his flowers somewhere in the backyard as he was playing with magical sticks and K insisted on putting hers in a bud vase to deliver to our sweet neighbor, R had different plans."Mom-ba, dese are for me and you. Because your-wa my valentimbes."Today was an especially good day to be a Mommy.

I'm thrilled to see your kids with green and flowers and enjoying themselves outside! We have about 18 inches of snow and temperatures in the teen's. It hasn't been so play-outside-happy for a little while.

Thanks for sharing the sun and flowers with us!

J mom,
You kids are too awesome. I love how you type out EXACTLY what they say. I can hear it now. Oh what I have to look forward to huh? A and P are already cracking me up. Usually it is A as she talks the most right now (Imagine that!)
