As Big As God

Tonight I attended a special event with Kim Hill and Lisa Harper. I almost didn't go. My husband is on call, so I had to find a sitter. It has been a long week already, dealing with sick little people. I just wanted to stay home in comfy clothes and veg.

I must admit that I am not always up for "Girls Nights Out." I run around all day every day, so when evening comes I tend to be more of a homebody. Getting dressed and ready to go back out is typically the hurdle that causes me to decide it is just not worth the effort. But, tonight, I went and I was blessed.

I have been feeling really burdened for my Monday Night Girls. They shared some huge things with me this week. I have been wrestling and praying and echoing some of their questions to God about 'why their lives are so messed up.' I love Him. I trust Him. I know He loves them immensely. But, how do I explain that to these girls in a way that conveys my sincerity without sounding hokey or trite. The last thing I want to do is minimize the trials they have experienced so early in their lives.

Tonight I came home to look up lyrics to a great song Kim Hill sang and found this song (which she did not sing) instead:

I'd say that is why God sent me there...and I cannot wait to share it with my girls!
