Tuesday the children and I rushed home from preschool to quickly change and get to the YMCA for our first swim lesson of 2008. We had 45 minutes from the time preschool was dismissed to get home change into swimsuits and get to the Y pool. Two of our buddies came over since our house is close to both the preschool and the YMCA. Somehow, their
Mommy & I managed to get everyone changed, loaded, fed snacks and transported so efficiently that we were early...one week and 5 minutes early, in fact! The irony of the fact that it was April Fool's Day was not lost on us.
Thankfully, our drought-induced water ban has been lifted and it was a warm 80 degrees, so we decided to take advantage of the swimsuits and return to our house for a little water hose fun.
M, K & R thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
P & S were not so sure about the water.
I think S's face speaks volumes. Then, S came up with an idea that allowed her to safely enter the wet zone...
And as for our lab, Haley...she seems to finally be mellowing out a bit. Or is it just that the children are so active she pales in comparison?

Ha! That sounds like something I would do - arrive a week early for swim lessons. I don't understand what has happened to my memory!!
I cannot wait for weather like that around here.
Looks like fun! I am so ready for some 80 degree weather! I love your lab. We are thinking about getting one. My son constantly begs for "shocolate lab, because I know I'll take good care of him."
Change of plans for us again....We are going to be in swim class with you all next week! The lady had originally given me the schedule for the 4 yr old class which didn't have that time slot available and she said it must be full, but I checked w/ the aquatics dirctor and we realized she'd given me the wrong schedule, so Will will be in there swimming with K, P, & R. Should be fun!

I'm just dying for some 70's weather so I can break out some capris and let the kids wear shorts! Playing in the water still feels so far off, but I know it will be here soon. It looks like it ended up being a fun afternoon!
And to think I was happy with 50 degrees today! Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. :)
Thanks for sharing all of your adventures with us. I just love hearing about the things the children say and do. Your Blog brings a lot of pleasure to my heart....and thankfulness, also, because of your sweet testimony as you raise these sweet little ones for the glory of God.
Not sure how old your lab is, but if it's one, then the kids and the dog are right there together, If it's two he can still keep up, by the time he's three (21) he may avoid them now and then. Ours is 9 and he hides from the one year old dog when he can! Sweet, sweet photos.
How old is Haley? I have 3 labs-8,
3, and 1 1/2 years old.
Great dogs but it does take a while for them to mature and settle down.
Love your blog!!!!
