My mantra these days is "keep 'em busy" because there is really no way to describe the level of energy pulsating through the veins of my offspring. They are all wild, but K is something else! Last week she was running through the house with her head shaking from side to side, curls flying, crazy eyes and emitting strange, but joyful squeals from her mouth. She would occasionally stop and do a forward roll, only to jump up, twirl in a circle and take off again. My husband looked at me and said, "Are you sure this is going to calm down after Christmas?"
I assured him it would. It must.
Yesterday he looked at me and said, "Christmas is over. Decorations are down." I knew where he was going...They are still wild and loud. It does not appear to be calming down any time soon.
Saturday we managed to get enough of a break in the much needed rain to enjoy some fresh air. Daddy decided to take on a project in the backyard and instantly had more help than he knew what to do with. I couldn't help but giggle a little as he experienced my daily life of attempting to be productive with LOTS of 'help.' When even our lab got involved by constantly butting her slobbery tennis ball into the mix, I erupted in laughter. What else can you do?

#1 and K would definitely make a great match. Actually, any of the boys. I'm trying to learn how to manage their energy in appropriate ways. I can definitely understand!
I, too, love it when Papa is home and the boys tag along with him every. single. step. and he gets a glimpse into my day. It's fun to watch, and it's fun to get a break too. :)
How did they like the piano mat? I've been trying to find something for #2's bday. And even though I'm about done with toys for now, when you mentioned it a while back, I thought that might be a good option for him b/c he LOVES music. I just have to convence myself that I can handle more noise in the house. :)
Happy New Year!
Jackson got that baseball thing (I don't know what it is called) and LOVES it. He is actually a pretty good little batter with it. He has a t-ball set from his birthday but this is way more fun! He loves to push the button...
Hope they settle down a little bit for you...mine start MDO next Monday and I am looking forward to them being hyper without me for about 5 hours :)
I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed reading your blog. It makes me laugh because the level of activity in your home resembles that in mine. The school countdown has begun..... ; )
I agree - sometimes laughter is the only appropriate answer!
Your children are absolutely adorable...and laughter is good. :)
Could they be any cuter?
