Last night I made spaghetti for supper. As the children were eating (and slurping), P said, " I wuv spa-sketti, Mommy."
"I love spaghetti too, P. When I was a child my Mommy made it for me all the time."
K then piped up, "What did they call you when you was a little gurl?"
"The called me J______."
"No," K countered very matter-of-factly, "they called you 'Little Mommy Gurl.' "

Cute story. I live that with my little ones. Always something funny and sometimes profound. I love it when God uses them to speak to me. I really enjoy your blog. Thanks for being real in all your posts.
Blessings
Cute! :-)
Isn't it fun when they start to realize that YOU were a little girl once, and that their Grandpa and Grandpa was your DADDY and MOMMY!? And that they weren't always "old". =) My girls love to see pictures of me when I was young, and often beg me to tell them a story "from the olden days." I always answer, "Hey! Come on now!!" HeeHee
My 4 year old says 'gurl' also - it is so cute! Over Christmas holidays she met the spouse of my 1st cousin and it was too much for her mind to process the 'relation to her' - so she just called her 'that gurl' - (she knew her name, but just kept calling her 'that gurl'.
Mine all ask for a 'mommy childhood story' for their bedtime story.
I love to hear what kids are thinking! It amazes me each and every time!!
