Why the Push?

Chris who reads the blog in Canada, sent this link to me this morning. It is absolutely beautifully written and the message was a sweet blessing as I am already up, planning a busy day.

Within the post is a quote from an author I adore, Mark Buchanan. When asked about his biggest regret in life he responds:

“Being in a hurry. Getting to the next thing without fully entering the thing in front of me. I cannot think of a single advantage I’ve ever gained from being in a hurry. But a thousand broken and missed things, tens of thousands, lie in the wake of all the rushing. Through all that haste, I thought I was making up time. It turns out I was throwing it away.”

I hope you get a chance to read the post. Blessings!

That was a great way to start the morning! And it's something I've already been working on...slowing down. (And by the way, the link did not work when I tried. I had to delete the "http" and just use "www.")

I am looking forward to a few minute later in the day to read the post in it's entirety. I'm off to start the day...slowly and savoring the moments thanks to this reminder.

This is an awesome lesson for me as I am usually in a hurry.
