"You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled." 1 Thessalonians 5:5-6
Lord, as I am praying daily for these virtues for my children, I am mindful that I am in dire need of these virtues myself. Self control is so challenging because we tend to justify our lifestyles by assigning some vices as dangerous and other things as acceptable. I pray that my children (and that I) may remain self controlled in all things, Lord. Specifically, I pray for self control in the way they treat their bodies, may they have the strength to make healthy decisions.
We live in a world that teaches us to take care of ourselves first. Yet, You teach us to give generously of our time, our talents and our money. This world longs to make us busy and to distract us. Lord, grant K, R & P self control to shut out the things that are extraneous so they may have time and energy for the things that honor You most.

I saw that you use a reward system for your kis- I think you called it a blessed reward- or something like that. How does it work? If you have THREE two year old and a reward system works for you, I thought maybe I could get it to work for my 3.5 year old girl. The one puffy sticker at night doesn't seem to be doing the trick.
Thanks,
Garrett
