Who needs words with a picture like this? I love how everybody is going in their own direction! I also love how "mother hen Kate" is checking on everybody. Amy
(And where on earth do you live, that you are blessed with FOLIAGE in your front yard?? I have two puny trees and that's about it. I'm green with envy!)
absolutely LOVE this photo...and i love how dramatic it looks in black and white. how did you get them so evenly spaced!? that must have been hard work. :)
Keri- I am laughing out loud at the thought of trying to pose them... They were playing in the driveway and just took of this way. It made my heart skip a few beats at the realization that so goes life. As they grow, they will take off down different paths of life...taking my heart with them. I snapped this in color and changed it to B/W in photoshop. The funny thing is they were either all over the driveway or all lining up like a train and getting into traffic jams. Isn't that the great thing about family...we can take off on our own and run back to each other when we need to, too. On a lighter note, it made me cringe thinking about 14 years from now when those are real cars!!!
Jenmom~ This picture is tooo precious. I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw it! I am with Sarah. It looks really beautiful. We hope to have some lush greenery in over our driveway in the near future!
I absolutely LOVE this picture! My kids will never know that freedom here, they would be jealous. I saw your message and followed you here, your kids are beautiful!
I can;t help but think about their lives as they grow wondering what direction they will each choose. Pretty powerful shot! One to keep I should think....
Jennifer - how could I not know who you are? Of course I remember you! Thanks for stopping by our little blog! The connections and re-connections we've made through blogging have been an unexpected benefit of posting pictures of Sara James on-line for our family and friends...it's been a real treat! Tricia and I are daily regulars on Lots of Scotts, and always look forward to your updates.
Oh Jen - this is an awesome picture. It's always good to have a camera handy because you never know when the "perfect shot" is going to come up. This is definitely one of them!
oh jen...i hope you know i was kidding when i asked how you got them so evenly spaced! i know there is no way, even if you tried!! :) i love your thoughts behind the photo...a great photo to represent how they grow up, etc. so many analogies you could get from this pic. so cool. i'm with angela....DEFINITELY a framer.

AWESOME picture.... wow, it does say a lot with no words! Isn't it funny how kids always seem to go in opposite directions?
I love it!

I love how Kate seems to be looking to see why the boys aren't following her. You definitely capture some great moments.
