The children attempted golf and tennis for the first time...
although the games were HIGHLY modified for 2 year old play. (You'll notice these golfing pictures were taken on a tennis court! It was the safest way to keep them coralled safely away from the lake!)
Of course, the pool was still a hit.
The children LOVED having special time with 'Gwanmudder' and 'Gwandaddy.' Watching the boats, exploring and being together made for a wonderful end-of-Summer celebration.
I am anxious for the Fall breezes & football season, but have certainly enjoyed the memories we've made. See you next year, Summer!

A friend of mine spent Thanksgiving there a couple of years ago...they had one of the rooms that faced out toward the lake and had a chimenea...she said it was DIVINE and great for kids. My SIL and I have talked about taking "the cousins" for a weekend, but our schedules haven't cooperated. It looks beautiful!
Well Ryland might work a lot of hours, but it's great that you guys take advantage of the time you have together to make such great memories with the kids.

I really love the end of the summer and the start of fall. There is just something about ushering summer out and preparing for fall that always gets me excited. So glad y'all enjoyed a weekend away!
Sounds like a perfect farewell to one of many wonderful summers ahead! Ya'll are all just too cute!
Looks like you all had a great time! Don't you love when you can escape with all of the family? Glad you were able to get away.
I love the pictures. This summer is really hard for me to say goodbye to for some reason ... I suppose I can't help but think how big our kids will be next year at this time. It's bittersweet!
I love the picture, too, Jenmom. I understand how you feel about this summer. Your kids are so damn cute! I agree with you that next year, I bet, they'll grow so much bigger... and much much SMARTER!
Glad to know you had a wonderful weekend! By the way, what do you think of Suri Cruise's first "public appearance"? I think she's cute...
Kisses to your triplets,
Adwina
How wonderful that you got to spend it all together!!!
LOVE your blog! I've been checking it periodically for the past couple of months.... I take care of "multiples" part-time while finishing up nursing school, so it's fun to read your stories. Precious kids.... and I love the audio clips! SO cute.
p.s. I commented on your "nanny" blog a couple of posts down too. Being a part-time nanny for a couple of moms, I just wanted to enlighten you from my perspective! :)
I am so glad you gotta a girl in that mix. I know this has nothing to do with the post! But I was looking on your site for a good face shot of your daughter because I think she looks just like you!
