Siblings

This afternoon, after hours of hard play in the blazing heat, we bathed the children and put them in front of a video to 'chill.'

As my husband walked past the door to the playroom he called for me. As I rounded the corner I saw his wide grin and then this.
It did not matter that he had his own bean bag available. He'd rather be with her (and vice versa.)
Is there anything sweeter?

The picture quality is terrible because a nearby cell phone was the quickest thing I could get to capture the moment. Little did I know they would still be like this 20 minutes later.

People ask me if they 'gang up' on each other. I have to say that they really do not (yet?). They definitely couple up depending on the activity. R & P are Wii partners. K & R are dress up partners. P & K are cuddle bugs. Their relationships though are predominantly sweet and healthy. For that I am so grateful. I wonder if their future relationships will be better for the fact they have grown up with such a special bond--or if they will suffer. I choose to believe that the negotiation, communication and cooperation they live in on a daily basis will be to their benefit.

The future is uncertain, but of this moment I am sure. My heart is very full.
