Saturday the children went to visit their great-grandmother, Nana. At some point, the conversation turned to her age--and the fact that she is 90 (and a half).
R then remarked, "Wow! In 10 more years you will have to go live upstairs!" (meaning Heaven)
Oh, my.
Is it any consolation that Nana thought it was funny?

It's ABSOLUTELY consolation that she laughed.
I bet she's telling quite a few of her friends that story today.
How funny! I thought the same thing when I was young.
Nana probably thought that was adorable.
Too funny!!!!
Have you ever read the book by Tomie de Paola called "Nana Upstairs, Nana Downstairs"? If not, you must read it and share with your little ones when the time is right. It is a wonderful children's book and your post made me think of it.

Oh that's funny!! Kids really do say the darndest things.
We have a Nana who is 91. I think she would have laughed, too.
Aww-- hey, maybe they know more than we think ;) She'd probably be thrilled to live to 100! What a blessing to have older family members nearby to share life with your children :)
