Anatomy of a Photoshoot

Getting my three together for a group photo is no small challenge. When I post a half-decent shot of them together, smiling and looking towards the camera, it is generally one of 10 I rattled off trying to achieve the 'closest-I-can-get-to-perfect' shot. When I uploaded these shots they were a great story of how it often comes together.

M: "OK, everybody. Let's take a quick picture. Get together...Come on..."K: "Hey, R..."(whisper...inaudible)R: "K! Dat is NOT nice." (pulling away from her as she smiles, satisfied at achieving the desired response) "MOOOMB!!!"

R: "K is NOT being berry nice! She said she was gonna get in da middle and not me 'cause she's da leader of da day today! Dat huwts my feewins!"

M: "K, please don't antagonize your brother. Get back together guys. One more time, real quick. Please?"

M: "OK. Great. But look at me. Guys! Do you see Lightnin' McQueen inside my lens? I think he's winking. Can you see him?"

P: "There he is. I see him!"

K: "I'm sorry, R."

M: "K? R? P found him. Do you see him? Look here!"

And then we were done. No 'perfect' shot...but lots of 'real' memories recorded.

Hilarious. :) I can hear almost their voices! Last year, we took our own Christmas picture for the cards, and it took literally 30 pictures before we had a couple that were bearable. And I only had one who was four at the time!! (Of course, it was the teenagers who were the worst! :D)
