Aww

This morning Daddy decided to teach the kiddos about the Wii. It started with making their Miis. As R and Daddy worked together on the facial characteristics they got to eye color and R insisted he wanted green eyes.
"Buddy, your eyes aren't green. Your eyes are brown."
"But Daddy," he cried, "I weally want gween eyes. I want to look just like you."
You can imagine the look on Daddy's face. Sweetness!

We are really enjoying our Wii - probably because it's giving us time with our teenagers. Even at 14and 17, their laughs are addictive to me. We spent much of last night in the basement waiting out the tornado sirens, but we had our Wii so all was good. My daughter made my Mii - and she made me much cuter than I really am. My son made his own Mii look like a red-headed Bono...
I predict many years of family fun for you with the Wii. This former cynic is completely sold on it.

And I'd make R's eyes any color he wanted after that sweet comment.

Cuteness! I love it. The wii has this weird way of bringing the gap between generations to a void. It is awesome to watch my 77 year old grandma play baseball and bowling with my 2 year old with both of them laughing hysterically. Life doesn't get better than that!

Nintendo hit the nail on the head with this machine.

So sweet! If the kiddos can learn to play with the wii, I guess I can too.

I got MIke a Wii for Father's Day as previously mentioned. I set up Mii's for myself and one of my adult daughter's. Husband says, "Don't you think you should let her do it?" I said, "She can change it if she doesn't like it". When we played with them, I showed her her Mii and told her she could easily edit it to which she replied, "Why? It looks like me!"

Now, husband, who did his own, has been tweaking it again and again saying "It just doesn't look like me!"

Perhaps I should "Mii" him? :)

How precious is that! Green eyes he'd be getting, if it was up to me : )
