We loved having Grandmother and Granddaddy here to enjoy the festivities. We had a great time playing with the new croquet set they gave us for Easter!
Here P demonstartes his unconventional rules. Forget those cute painted wooden animals, he'd rather be his own gate.
Daddy is working all weekend, so after Grandmother and Granddaddy returned to Atlanta we set to work on a Spring project: a new vegetable garden! I must admit, I had no idea how much work it was going to be to prepare the soil. I would have never tried to take it on alone with the children had I known! While I toiled with a shovel and a hand rake, the children chanted, "Can we plant yet? Now, Mommy? Can we plant yet? Mommy, is it time now? Can we plant yet?" 846 tmes.
When I finally had our tiny patch ready, they enjoyed scattering and covering carrot, pumpkin, cucumber and watermelon seeds. K proved to be a great helper, while the boys lost interest and set off on an irrigation project of their own...After all that hard work, P wanted to unwind with a little basketball--his favorite!K and R sat right under the net to sip lemonade as he played.
Then the game switched to some combination of soccer and basketball that only the three of them seemed to understand. With smiles on faces and sunshine all around, we managed to use a lot of 3 year old energy. Everyone is enjoying a rest. It has been a great day!

They are just too precious!!
Happy Easter!
Just blog hopping around and found your site. What a beautiful family. Also read that you went to Uof A. Didn't go there but huge Tide fans. Originally from AL. Will be back to visit.
Oh, so that's what I have to look forward to with a boy! That is too funny.
R's (I think R) dimples are precious!
That was mass chaos of an egg hunt, but fun anyway. Good to see you briefly this morning.
Loved the photos. LOL with the boys irrigation project.
Just loved K winking in the sipping lemonade photo!
Happy Easter.
I found your blog through another blog I've been reading. I am a mother of twins who turn 3 today. I totally can't imagine 3 of them though. Thanks for sharing your story. I found it very interesting & it is amazing the things they say that crack us up. "gum dog" One of mine said the other day, "just a minute I'm in the process of doing something." I have NO CLUE where she got that from (not!).
Oh, btw, I was looking at your play list for the ipod- check out veggie tales worship cd- my girls love it!
God Bless, -Gail
