Photo Potpourri

I cleared my memory card this afternoon and had some random photos to record. The first is of K & R who are all about babies after seeing their youngest cousin, Avital, Wednesday. R begged me to make "one of dose wap-a-wound tings like Amy wears wiff her baby inside." The cutest was when he drove his tractor around the house with his baby attached to him.

A few minutes after I snapped this shot, K put Angelina Ballerina in her shirt (still swaddled) then said, "Ow! My tummy hurts. I think it is time for my baby to be born."
Then she pulled her out and said, "Hi, Baby! I'm so glad you're here. Let's go for a walk" as she placed her in the stroller and took off. If only it were that easy!

The next picture is the scene each time we take a bath. I remove them one by one and place them in the boys' adjoining bedroom to get dressed for bed. A few weeks ago, they started this tradition of huddling under their towels while they wait their turn.

We had great morning visit with my Mom, Dad and Grandmother. Here they are reading with P.Then he climbed in Grandmama Dobbs' lap for another read through. I actually was able to videotape this and it was precious to hear her 85 year old Alabama accent reading to him...and his reaction as he soaked it all in.
We enjoyed some time in the backyard practicing our casting. When I look at this picture, it is suddenly not so hard to imagine my P as a seven year old boy. How did that happen?
This one just made me smile. My R has a VERY strong personality. When he is sweet he is very, very polite and tender...but there are lots of trying moments with his assertiveness, bossiness and emotional outbursts. I am praying so hard right now about how to help him learn to tone it all down a few notches, while embracing the obvious gifts of leadership he possesses. I love how soft he looks in this one.
And the sheer fun of this one. Is there anything better than 3.5 year old teeth?

Great photos! I especially loved the towel one. My little ones used to always do that after getting out of the bath (they would say they were pretending to be rocks)....the youngest two still do it sometimes. Sweet times.

Oh my word, they could not be any more precious! And R's dimples--those are serious business :)

Your R sounds like my Z. Such a fine line we walk - to teach without squashing who they are...even if very different from us.

Was that the monster at the end of this book? Hardbound? If it was and you bought it would you please tell me where you found it like that? It's my daughters favorite and it's been taped together so many times we are in dire need. Really enjoy your blog by the way.
