I am writing this down for my own benefit.
One day when my adolescent daughter angrily informs me how much she dislikes me, I want to hear her precious little voice just as I heard it tonight when I walked past her dark room.
"Mommy?"
"Yes?"
"I love you all the way through the trees in the forest, up to the sky, the clouds and the stars, to the moon, then to the beach house with the golf cart and to the North Pole."
"I love you all that way too, K...and back."
giggles
I love that sweet girl!

I think I'd be reading this at least once a day - and especially all the way through those lovely teenage years.
What a doll!
Love your blog.
I bet for every minute that you get tired or frustrated with three three year olds - you wouldn't trade any of it when you hear those precious words!!! I'm glad you wrote it down to remember when puberty hits! :-)
Oh, one of my favorite ways to use the blog--to record those precious moments that might otherwise be forgotten. Priceless!
Write all those things down and put them somewhere they can be found again...they will warm your heart, If He leaves us here for her to be a grown woman with children of her own..I can remember what my daughter said to me every night before she went to bed and she can recite it to me today...and last night her six year old daughter, didn't want me to leave and come home....we had cuddled till her daddy came home, she teared up and said Nana, don't go home, I want you to stay here and i got three hugs and kisses...boy did I feel special...they have so much power to make us feel wonderful and bad in the next moment....cherish this time....you will forget the bad, even if it is times three, and you will forget alot of the good, but for goodness sakes write down thins like she said last night...take it from a grandmother.
Oh so sweet! You have a special little girl there! Thanks for sharing.

One day recently, our thirteen year old daughter woke up in a thirteen-year-old mood, and I said to my husband "I don't know how I could have made her mad already, she just woke up. I usually get a few minutes..." So, yes, I looked back fondly on the days when she'd say "Mommy you're my best friend. You can be in my club." Thankfully, this phase, so far, has been relatively easy. Unless she doesn't get her mall time with friends on Saturdays. Then it gets ugly.
It's moments like this that melt your heart! Thanks for sharing! I have an award for you over at my blog. Please stop by when you have a moment! Blessings on your day!
I bet your heart melted. She may have a future in writing.
What a sweetie! And, I am willing to bet that you won't have those difficult teenage years! I am betting the two of you will be sweet friends for a lifetime!!
I find post it notes all the time with first words and now, comments written down from my little boy. I love your blog. Thank you for the ministry you have created! I found the world to be a small place when I read your blog about YL camp. I chuckled as my brother in law, Troy was one the leaders who probably brought the teens who ran from the vomit! What a small circle the Christian circle can be. YL is near and dear to my heart and I appreciate your family helping to make one of the camp weekends possible!
