Seasons

Goodbye Summer 2007.

You were a terrific season of growth for our family.

You brought a third birthday and lots of life lessons.

We learned to ride bicycles with training wheels.

We learned to swim underwater.

We learned to use the potty (almost).

Mommy learned to let go just a little more everyday.

We look & act like kids. The last glimpses of "baby" in us are reserved for times when we're sick or especially tired.

We are asking deep, important questions like "If dragons are just pretend, is God just pretend too?" We pray. We can dress ourselves. We are fun!

And as Mommy strolled around Barnes & Noble this morning after dropping us off at school, she had a little talk with God and realized she is ready for the next season... so thankful for where we have been, but excited about the things that are to come.

What a blessing to enjoy each stage of these precious lives! We have always fallen in love with whatever stage we are currently in, and can't imagine loving them anymore, and yet we do:-)

It is so true that each stage is its' own gift...

What a great post!
I have been a lurker for a while now on your site, having found you from Big Mama's.
This post finally made me leave a comment and "introduce" myself.
I have a 3 year old so I can totally relate. It is a little bit of a sad time, but exciting and happy, too.
Love the pictures!
