Saturday Fun

BeeBee, Poppy & Cousin Sydney came to town for a visit today. Everyone had a big time. It was already so hot by 10:30am that I broke out the popsicles. By 11am we had moved to indoor (air conditioned) play.

Haley Dog noticed I was taking close-ups and decided to get in on the action. Since I am long past the days of wanting a close up of my own face on the web, I thought I would show you the portrait K drew of me this week. I was so impressed that she drew this at age 3 and made a huge fuss over it. She took her time explaining where the arms where, the eyes, etc. Then I asked her about the squiggly lines over my eyes.
"Are those Mommy's eyebrows?"
"No, that's those things you have on your forehead," she replied, as she traced a few of my wrinkles.

Like I said, I am long past the days of putting a close-up of my face on the web.

Sydney looks very hot. I am sure she was lovin' those popsicles.

Oh and to aswer your question on my comments... you were wilder than me from what your answers sounded like.

Jen,

I don't know you, but was introduced to your blog though another blog. I check in a couple of times a week to catch updates on your sweet 3. This has been one of my favorite blogs to read. You are truly an inspiration and such a wonderful mother. Your trio are truly blessed to know you as mom.

I have a question for you. One I've been dying to ask! How in the WORLD do you get those stains off their clothes??? I am the mother of a 20 month old and stains are daily for me. I can't imagine how it would be with 3. I've noticed in past pictures as well that you beautifully let them enjoy their treats. I'm totally a fan of your strategy to "let them be kids", I was just wondering what your secret clean up method was!

Blessings to you!

I am laughing b/c those popsicles made big stains today! I generally stip them down when possible. Otherwise, I am a fan of white shirts because I can use a Clorox stick. I always soak in Oxyclean and detergent. With colors I pre-treat with Shout. Most of the time it works!

How Cute!!! My ballerina friend, that you know, once had a student ask her why she had stripes on her forehead (referring to her wrinkled forehead)!!! Kids are too cute and sometimes too observant!!!!!! :-)

P's eyes are amazing in that picture...nice capture by Mom! My babies have blue eyes and so I don't get to see those deep brown chocolate eyes too often. They are so big and say so much! You can really tell how happy they are just by their eyes
