We had a wonderful, relaxing time making oodles of memories. I have lots to post about. (So much, in fact, I cannot figure out where to start.) Instead, I am enjoying squeezing out some more precious time with my family before Daddy has to go back to the "real world" of work.
I have 200 pictures to sift through, but here are a few to get started.
K & P checking out a lobster (right before he was pitched into the pot to become dinner.) K was far more daring than P (imagine that) and R was off playing baseball with rocks and sticks.
This was the view from the house we were staying in. It was so tranquil. Except for the squeals of 3 year olds, beginning at 5:15 every morning. (The sun rises in Maine before 5 am every day this time of year.)
I especially love this picture because it represents the reality of how I spend my day "chasing" kiddos.

Jen... I can't tell you how much I enjoy your Blog. These pictures are incredible and beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing them and don't worry, you aren't the only one up that early. My three are also early risers. It drives me crazy but there is nothing better than a family of 5 laying together in bed early in the morning. Thanks again for your wonderful blog.
Sounds like you had a wonderful and enjoyable trip. I'm so glad for you! The pictures are adorable, as always. Can't wait to see your next few posts ~ packed with more pictures!
Welcome Home! :)
Welcome back! You were missed!
I love those pictures. What a view to wake up to every morning .... even at 5:15. Gorgeous!
I can't wait to see more pictures.
Glad you had a wonder filled visit! Yes, it is so startling to have the sun rise so much earlier than you expect. When we moved to upstate NY I was literally shocked (and not terribly pleased) with that unexpected little factoid!!!
Love the pictures, especially the one of you chasing the kids.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one raising a child that wakes up at first light.
Welcome back! You were missed. I bet the time with Daddy R was fabulous. I know how precious that time can be! Pictures are great! Can't wait to hear more.
adorable pics! looks like ya'll just had the best time :)
Your family and pictures are straight out of a magazine! You are all so beautiful.
Please indulge me, where do you shop for your children? I love your style for them.
Ya'll are so sweet. To answer the clothing question. I love a sale...so, I shop a little bit of everywhere! For example, in the top and bottom picture: The sweatshirts are from KMart. The shorts are Old Navy and the skort was from Children's Place.
The applique frog tshirt and shorts were pricier indulgences from www.theplantationshop.com and the swimsuits are from www.ragsland.com (having a huge 50% sale right now!)
I'm wearing Target & J. Crew sale items if anyone cares. :-)
I am delurking to ask you a quick question. First, your vacation looks charming, really. Maine is on my must visit lists and your pictures have only enticed me more.
I believe I read in your archives (correct me if I am wrong) that you had your blog bound into a book. Could you possibly e-mail me re: how you got this done? We have some special friends we would like to do this for.
My e-mail is msjbwalker@yahoo.com
Thanks in advance for your help!

Oh, I'd love to know how to make a book out my blog too! Not sure if this is my first time commenting or not, but it is always a treat for me to come to your blog and read you eloquent and insightful prose.
