I thought it was a great idea...

Perri is probably going to (rightfully) rescind her "Thinking Blogger Award" when she reads this post:
Daddy returned from a conference yesterday afternoon via plane. Because I am always looking for new adventures for the children, I thought it would be fun to drive to Atlanta and ride MARTA down to the airport to pick him up. Trains and planes in one day--a sure hit!

The thing I neglected to remember is that the station I used to use when we lived in Atlanta is 13 STOPS away from the Atlanta Airport...and almost-3-year-olds tend to get a little antsy in confined spaces. Especially when they are expected to sit in laps for an hour and surrounded by strangers. When we arrived at the airport my father-in-law commented that Daddy was able to get home from Ohio faster than we were able to get to the airport...and he was right!
The children thoroughly enjoyed watching Daddy emerge atop the escalator and "helping" him carry his luggage. The we got to spend another hour riding the train back to the station. This time the thrill was gone for the children AND our fellow passengers. All in all, it was a fun afternoon visiting with grandparents and experiencing new things. Tomorrow the kids, Annie & I leave for a few days at the beach. Unfortunately, Daddy has to stay behind and work. :-( We will definitely miss him. Nevertheless, I am fired up about some time away (with furniture) and when we return we'll be fully connected again! Yippee!

I love how in every picture, the people in the background look so smitten with the site of your perfectly dressed triplets! They look like a walking GAP ad; they're so stinkin' cute! I don't know if perhaps that ever gets old - but some of those people are just looking on like they're loving all that innocence X 3.

just stumbled across your site- your kids are adorable! Parker looks like he's dancing with happiness to see his daddy!

You're one brave sould to take them all the way to the airport! My lot (a 3 year old and 1 year old twins) would declare mutiny if I ever tried that!

Have a great time and enjoy your kids!

I definitely sometimes get tired of the stares of strangers, but have learned to tune them out...having a flashing camera following you around doesn't do much to help you fly under the radar screen, though. :-)
As for the GAP ad comments...try $7 shoes from KMart and $5 shirts from childrens place. :-)
