It is so easy to lose perspective. In the day-to-day routine, we often miss the forest for the trees. Sometimes I look across the room at my little people and think, "When did you get so big?"
Monday we went for an afternoon stroll around the neighborhood "to see all da udder doggies." As I loosened the straps on the triple jog stoller, I noticed that the kids' feet were almost touching the bar at the bottom.
Quite a change from the first time we took them out for a stroll! One day at a time, the days seem unremarkable, but put them all together and what a difference 700 days make! It is a stark reminder as we plug away at discipline, spirituality, morality and character development one instance at a time: Over the months and years, those instances DO equal growth...in our children AND in us!

Jennifer,
Reading your blog has helped me realize how important my salvation is to me. All of the things I have been through and reading your writing, has helped me become much closer to God. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate reading what you have written and applying it to my daily life. I need all of the help I can get.
Maria
Maria- I think that is what this life is about--choosing to share the good, bad & ugly with one another in a way that helps show God's love. I am so thankful God has used my little blog to show you how much He loves you.
I cannot seem to get my hands on your e-mail address. Will you e-mail me if you still have my address?
wow...the difference in those pictures!! i was feeling this the other day about my 2 little ones. the changes are so gradual during the day to day. but when you look back, the changes are so dramatic! your little munchkins are so adorable jen. i hope we can meet them sometime soon!
It's so funny to me that you use some of the exact same language and gauges that I do. I'll look at our kids in their stroller now - verus then. I compare how much they've changed in less than 700 days ... DAYS.
Seeing the forest through the trees. Sometimes it really helps to have a birds eye perspective. Thank goodness for photos!
I loved what those 4 words meant to you. I knew yours would be beautiful that is why I tagged you. Thanks!!
Wow what a difference, that is so cool thanks for sharing your photo's
Blessings
What great perspective you have! I've heard the analogy of our little ones being like a tiny little seed we plant in the dirt, then daily we water and put in the sunlight. So much growth happens before we ever see fruit.
