Some childhood milestones are more painful than others.
This little guy gets to mark tonsillectomy off the list. Post Op Day One has gone smoothly, but I have heard the next few days can be rough.
I am going to wait a few more days to ask them if all the popsicles and tv/wii time were worth it.

My youngest had her's out when she was three. Day one and two were the best. Next few days were a little rough. Stay on top of fluids and the pain meds.
It was the best decision to do the surgery, but not the easiest recovery. I'll be praying for both son and mother over the next few days
My son had his removed at age eight. His doctor suggested plenty of chewing gum to stimulate saliva and keep the throat moist. Just an extra little treat for him. The second night was our hardest but after that he was asking for pancakes. best of luck to all of you.
Bless his heart, that is hard. I know the feeling; our daughter had hers out at 21. I hope recovery continues to go smoothly for him.
