My Girl

K is for Katniss
K is for Katniss.

K and I are settling into our bunks for the night after a fantastic day at Camp Skyline for Mother/Daughter weekend. We have canoed, learned to shoot a bow and arrow, performed tricks on a trapeze, attempted a ropes course, painted a bird house and learned to ride a horse. We have laughed and laughed. My girl (and her Mommy) are thoroughly enjoying a little one on one!

Meanwhile the boys are doing 'manly things' with their Daddy back home. I have received pictures via text of pizza eating, baseball game attending, building projects and rockets launching.

We miss our men, but are grateful for the gift of this quality time.
