So very much to share, but after 14 hours of travel today, it will have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers. I am still processing a great deal and I feel like I am seeing with slightly different eyes.
There were elements of our trip that were very challenging, but good.
I was definitely reminded that parenting is 24/7--and that the lessons we want our children to learn must be taught. Thinking that something like a family mission trip is a box that can be checked and compassion, service, gratitude and a heart for ALL God's people would automatically be input into my children's hearts is akin to thinking that simply walking into a medical school makes you a doctor. It just doesn't work that way. There are no shortcuts in the "big things."
Tonight I am dirty and tired but grateful and fulfilled.
More to come...

Jennifer,
I thought about and prayed for you and your sweet family all week. I am glad you all made it back home safe. I can not wait to hear about the trip!!
Welcome Back!!!
Welcome home! I have missed your posts! So glad that prayers were answered and y'all are home safe and sound!
Looking forward to hear from you and see the pictures as well as read about what you have experienced abroad. I am sure that you obeyed what is written on Isaiah 54:2. “ Enlarge the place of your tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare;
Lengthen your cords,
And strengthen your stakes.
Wwlcome back home !!
