The nativity scenes (created with stickers on a pre-drawn background) they brought home this week left me shaking me head and grinning.
The first exhibit is from R, my straight-laced, by-the-book, rule follower. His thinking is practical, concrete and orderly.

I wish you could see the detail of his nativity scene (below), but drawn in pencil across the top is a 'zip line,' hence the seemingly floating wise men.
K is P's biggest cheerleader. As she was examining his work she asked, "P! Why is there a donkey on baby Jesus' head?"
"He is not on baby Jesus' head, he is in the air over him. Don't you see the upside down trampoline? He did a back flip off of it to get to his water. See his mouth in the water?"

Oh, my! There is certainly no lack of entertainment in my house...

Honestly, I doubt that everything at the manger was quite as orderly as what we would hope. It seems reasonable to think that there would be some animal misadventures. I love the zip lining Wise Men. I mean, what better way to get to the Christ child faster than to zip on there? Mary? He's right. The poor dear was probably exhausted from all the labor, then she had people dropping in for a visit, there were no nurses standing by and certainly no nursery to send Him to while she caught a quick nap. Exhausted indeed.
My goodness how his perspective made me smile. Made me think a bit, too.
Tell him thank you for me, please. :)
So, so, so funny!!! And SO kindergarten. I love it!
I am laughing! What a great imagination....and I too agree with another poster....I doubt things were that orderly. I also look to the right and see the sweet children. They are so cute with Santa. I've been following you for about 2.5 years now. They are such sweeties!
Merry Christmas!

THAT is one of the funniest things I have read/viewed all week. My just-turned 5yo has a little Nativity in his room and he calls it "the Activity". And, it seems P's version is REALLY an Activity. Seriously, I will be laughing over that zip line til 2011.
I love it! P sounds like such a character. You are a blessed mama!
Love it!!! Even though you have triplets, you definitely have an eldest, law-abiding one and a quirky, creative second-born type. :o) My sons are just like your two.
