We have found all sorts of ways to keep cool in this heat. Washing cars and bikes quickly devolves into a Kid Wash.
This counts as a bath, right?
We've also enjoyed Water Wars(proper headgear is essential, you know...)

and a Food Fight. The boys weren't crazy about being covered in stickiness. The girls loved it!
Last weekend the children enjoyed participating in their first art show.
And while P wasn't as into that, he was quite proud to display the pancake he commissioned his Daddy to make--notice the resemblance?K's belief that kittens are better than baby dolls has continued. This was an attempt at 'potty training' Cotton. (I am so thankful for such a sweet, cooperative kitty.)
At the end of the day we are all tired, dirty, sweaty and smelly...but we are making memories and having a blast.

I JUST LOVE you precious family!!!
I had a very tolerate cat when I was little and was my most favortie. He would let me dress him and put him in a stroller.
I love the kids sitting int he buckets of water. Mine have done that with their Nana.
Lovely pictures and memories!
My favorite is k & p hangin out in the soap buckets. The little monkeys can fit anywhere! Brings back memories of growing up with my own siblings. I love that ability to turn anything into a playspace. We used to hang out in laundry baskets (full of fresh clean laundry), hampers, and luggage compartments in the car.
LOVe their artwork. There is some great artistic talent blossoming...
Sweet Cotton! I'm pretty sure that was my favorite picture of all!
You are the BEST momma--you always have a camera at the ready. I have never been good at this and have nothing to show for all our memory making :-(
I have that same china pattern (navy with different wildlife scenes in the middle). It was my husband's choice when we were getting married and he is still enjoying those same dishes 15 years later.
these made my heart so full! your kids are just BEAUTIFUL (and handsome). through and through. :)
Your daughter with the cat = hilarious! Aren't kids the best?
A great summer for sure! Love the photos of all your activities.
What fun times you're having. :)
I always enjoy my visits here.
I can feel the excitement as the first day of school nears!
