Oreo to Bandit

Twenty months ago we welcomed sweet Oreo into our family. Today we bid her farewell. She had been missing since Sunday. My neighbor found her body while out on a run. It seems she was hit by a car.

When I told the children P's immediate response was, "I hope she had Jesus in her heart."

In an effort to distract us, we went to the pound this afternoon. The plan was to find another kitten. Unbelievably, they had no kittens, but they had a dozen puppies.

So, tonight they have one less. This is Bandit. He is a spunky, cuddly, entertaining distraction. He makes the kids giggle and even our 7 year old lab is adapting really well. But we all miss Oreo. She was a great little kitty.

So sorry to hear about Oreo. Losing a pet is losing a little peace of your heart.

Oh, so sorry. Our sweet Gracie died months ago, and every now and then, Johnny will say, "I miss Gracie". Their pets are part of them, so precious. Great plan to divert with a new pet. . they will quickly forget!

Our cat ran away a year ago. We'd had him for several years and our kids still say that they miss him. Bandit is ADORABLE! I'm sure the children are loving getting to know him.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear about Ms. Oreo. Pets are so special. I know it broke your heart to have to tell the kids. (Our little froggie died this morning and I had to tell the kids)

Does Bandit(a) know how much fun she's going to have with the kids? Oh how fun.

Your pics are always so priceless..
