I have been feeling heavy and intense for a couple of weeks. I feel like my antennae are up and very in tune to the very serious stuff going on around me--and somewhere in the midst of it I have forgotten to laugh.
I haven't felt depressed, tearful or hopeless...just serious. But today I choose silliness, laughter and joy! It is not about forgetting that there are very serious hurts around me, but remembering that the joy within me spreading out onto my face and through my words is an important part of balancing out the difficult things. Frankly, some days you just have to choose it.
Thankfully, my husband and I have a disco costume party to attend tonight. Nothing like gold lame to bring out a little silliness! (Here's a preview of my wig...as modeled by K)
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Proverbs 31:25 (NIV)
I am not sure my disco costume will count as 'strength.' It definitely is not dignified, but laughter is guaranteed.

First of all...you have a friend Delee? That is the only version of Dale we havent used in the Serrano family ha ha ha. Secondly...You guys look great...reminds me of Brant's wig at Phychodellic party. Love the look on Ryland. Lastly, i feel partly to blame for the serious place this week. You have helped me and i am forever grateful! thanks for your prayers, time, love and support.
