I now realize it may not have been her doing the dressing. In the afternoons my trio are allowed to wear any combination of play clothes they choose.
So, K, P, & R, when you ask me one day WHY I allowed you to dress yourselves like this...
I am going to explain that it made me twitch and cringe, but it made you VERY happy.
A closet full of cute things, and yet, it is the tackiest that brings them the most joy. I love 5 year olds!

I always used to wonder the same thing. Now I know too! Whatever keeps them happy!
My son wore cowboy boots with his bathing suit and a coonskin cap. I wanted to pin a note on him that said, "I did not dress this boy", but resisted the temptation. He LOVED that outfit. (And cringes at the pictures.)

Some battles are just not worth fighting. Choice of play clothes is definitely one of those battles!
My daughter now looks at pictures of herself in grades 4-6 and asks why I let her wear her hair that way. My only comfort? All the other moms are surely getting the same questions.

LOL! I think we all have pictures of ourselves dressed silly, too ;)
