Flood Update

Thank you to those of you who have asked for an update on my inlaws' progress in flood recovery. They are right in the thick of the demolition phase. It was determined that their first floor needed major work. All of the floors, walls, ductwork and cabinetry is being removed to allow the frame of the house to dry. Apparently there is mold testing that will then be done before rebuilding the walls, etc.

The flood damaged car has been towed away. All of the rugs and much of the non-upholstered furniture has been shipped out for cleaning and restoration attempts. The last several days have been extremely busy for them as they attempt to sift through decades of 'stuff' with the help of many friends and outside help. They are having to make many difficult calls on what to dispose of versus what to attempt to restore.

They are making progress, but are understandably tired. There is still a long road ahead. Thanks for your concern!
