My hero of a hubby hooked me up with new cords so I could retrieve some terrific pictures from our trip. These were taken on our musseling adventure and during the lobster boil we had on Thursday night.
Seaweed smells bad at low tide.
The muck
The crossing where the water got about 2 feet deep--have I mentioned that it was 57 degrees? I had to go in chest high later in the day to retrieve K's crocs that the tide attempted to take out to sea. It was COLD!
Our crew of explorers (minus Aunt A, who took the photo)
An impromptu marine biology lesson from Daddy...
Our spoils...Rowing with Daddy...or shall I say riding along, rocking the boat and giggling while Daddy rows?
We live in a small Southern town, my children are not 'city folk' by any stretch of the imagination...and yet, this was their first experience with shucking corn.
Everyone knows things taste better when you have helped prepare them...
Unless your mother has terrorized you with the main course. :-)
Delicious!

I'm so jealous.... that looks yum. I love a low country boil, but a lobster boil sounds awesome.
