He has gotten a new spunk since school started back...I think he is trying to act the part of big kid. Yet, each morning when I drop him off he reverts to my baby, calling me "Mama" in his most pitiful voice and clinging to my legs.
Most interesting is his newfound love for the color orange. Specifically, in his wardrobe. It is all he wants to wear. This morning he walked out of his closet, exasperated, and cried, "Aw, Man! All my orange clothes are dirty! What am I going to wear?"
Maybe the orange reflects his feelings of feistiness. I don't know, but I am wondering if I can't slip a little mellow yellow in from time to time.

My 4 year old loves orange too and Carter is my class clown - your pics of P always remind me of him! So funny to learn they are similar in this way too!! He is so adorable!
Go with the orange! It is better than some stupid cartoon character that you hate..LOL
Trust me on this!!
I miss seeing him everyday! In any color! Hope he has a fantastic year!
Woo hoo! Go Big Orange- he's a Vol fan and he doesn't want to tell you. :)
My oldest has entered the phase of "potty humor" . . . how lovely! After trying a couple of things, we decided to allow him to use the potty words in the bathroom only. However, now he feels that he must say them there . . . and say them as many times as he can (as if to get it all out of his system)! It's actually working pretty well at home. The tricky part is out at public restrooms. People probably think that we're completely crazy! Ha! ;-)
He looks so cute in orange! Your kiddos seem like they've grown a lot this summer :)
That's a boy my Okalahoma State grad husband would give a big high five to. Orange is a favorite around our house, too. (Except when someone assumes it's because we like Tennessee.) ha! Yea for P!
I have learned so much from you and feel silly even giving you a pointer, but here goes....
My mom always said that "bathroom talk belongs in the bathroom". I have used this with my 2 boys and after a few trips of time out in the bathroom, the fun is gone! Cracks me up everytime I say it bc I remember spending some time in the bathroom while growing up---I had a big brother and tried anything to be as cool as him!:)
Your family is darling and I love reading about y'all!
