Names

This is very random post (aren't they all?), but we are in full Summertime mode and my brain is fried from entertaining energetic children for 14 straight hours today.

This weekend our cousin Scott was remarking about all of the lovies that my children have collected in recent months. (It has gotten a little out of control.) He challenged me to name each one. Ever the competitor, I started spouting off their names and could not help but giggle at the ridiculous names some of them have.

Even more entertaining than the names are the stories behind them...but I will spare you that.

For posterity (and perhaps a little giggle) I present the random monikers of my children's beloved stuffed friends:

P loves: Oreo, Stitches, Ralphie, White, Spotty, Night Night, Dark Snow, Chomp, Squirt, Black Spot, Haley, Doggie Dog, Wacky, Bumpkin, Pokey, Basketball Bear, Crush, Duckie

R loves: Sunny, Chimpanzee George, Milo Tiger Cat, Ry the Lion, Batty George, Baseball Frog, Uga, Curtis, Baseball Dog, Snakey, Spot Spot

K loves: Baby Jenny, Chicken Bone, Piper, Baa Baa, Lambie, Cherry Pie, Hootie, Cottontail, Ruffie, Tutu, Gilbert, Rammy, Black Sky, K Bear, Roo, Blankie

I fear what my grandchildren will one day be named. :-)

My 3 year old insists that most of his animals are named Frosty...makes it easy.

Those all have lots of personality ... at our house, EVERYTHING is named "lisa" after a dear friend of ours. It doesn't matter how many baby dolls we have, or which girl (I have three) they belong to, they are all Lisa. :) I'm sure we'll branch out one of these days!

The funniest part is that "Chicken Bone" is a dainty little baby doll.
