One quick story before I forget...
I try to be intentional about telling K she is beautiful during everyday moments, not just when she is all dressed up. Periodically, I follow my compliment with a brief comment about how it is her kind and loving heart that makes her beautiful.
Yesterday morning, as the rain was pouring outside, I was painting my toenails. K walked in and asked if I would paint hers. I agreed and set to work with my bright red polish....much to her delight!
After they dried she said, "Mama, don't I look so beautiful with my kindness and my pretty painted toes?"

Just precious!
WOW...it's amazing what they soak in isn't it???
One of the best pictures of her ever- we can almost "see" that kind and loving heart in her expression!
Sounds like something my K- would have said!
Glad that all of you made it through the week! Glad to read that no one else fell ill! That would have been a really gross trip home! Eeek!
Beautiful.
