Please pray for Kelly. She is a precious blogger in Arkansas who I have been acquainted with online for a couple of years. She delivered her first baby, Harper, yesterday and they have experienced significant, unexpected complications. The baby has been flown to Oklahoma and Kelly is trying to get discharged so she can be with her baby. What a frightening time for new parents! They need to know they are being prayed for.
I am reminded of a passage in Exodus we claimed in the midst of our own post-childbirth crisis:
"As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. Exodus 17:11-13 (NIV)
This is what the body of Christ does for one another in times of crises--we hold each other's weary hands up to God. May we be faithful to wait, watch and hold one another steady until victory!

I got goosebumps reading this J!
Kelly's latest post has 1300+ comments. That's a whole lot of hands lifting their family up.
To God be the glory!
Praying J-mom...I've been reading Kelly's blog for about two years also....following her through infertility, the wonderful news of I'M PREGNANT, and all through the pregnancy..and I was just so sad to hear of the turn of events.
But, pleased to see how many Christians come together when one of us is in need. That is so inspiring to me.

My family is planning a vacation to Destin, FL and I remember you going there from following your blog. Could you recommend a place to stay and possibly one that has easy access to a beach and things to do with children. We're traveling with our 3 children (9mo to 7 years) and my sister in laws family and kids (2 1/2 to 7 Years). If you could be of any help I would greatly appreciate it. My email is:

Thanks!

Just prayed for your friend. Ohh, it sounds so much like the birth of my son. I left them a message of prayer and hope.
Hello-just wanted to leave you a message for putting the prayers of people into perspective. I have found your blog over the years, through Kelly's and I love to read your words. So encouraging and real-your children are precious! Continue to be the light in this world....you are another miracle that people prayed for:)
I always read, and this is my first time to comment-please forgive me.

What a wonderful reminder! We each need help holding up our weary hands (and hearts sometimes). The Kingdom is truly amazing -- God uses people who do not even know one another to lift each other up.
If you have time, would you email me? I have some questions regarding trying to get pregnant and infertility treatment.
We are enduring this hard time and I'd really like to "talk" with a fellow sister in Christ about it. My email is surrendered81@gmail.com. Thank you. Gratefully, H.
I just am catching up on a little blog reading and I wanted to thank you for writing this and for your prayers!!! God has been SO good to us!!! We are blessed!
