Operation

I have been lovingly nagging my husband about a mole I wanted him to have checked out. This afternoon he decided to take care of it himself. (Thanks to Laurie's quick-thinking husband for snapping this photo on his phone.)

Who says surgeons are control freaks?

Bless his heart. I can't really blame him. I had a mole "removed." It was supposed to be anyhow. Turns out, he ended up only removing the middle and giving me a split, really weird looking two part mole on my stomach. Oh, it's real attractive now! Now you know why he did it himself!

Wow. Gives whole new meaning to the phrase, "Physician, heal thyself." :)

That is hysterical!

There was a Urologist in residency who did his own vasectomy!

(You can delete this if it is TMI)

The Ortho I work for took a cyst off his own wrist! We stood around, ohhing & oh grossing while he did it.

That is crazy! It seems like that would be really hard to do.

Emmy... his OWN vasectomy?!!? I bet that was a sight to see (if anyone watched, lol). So was your husband successful?

So funny.

At least your husband has surgical skills to support such extractions. The non-surgical doc in my house "wings it" when removing suspicious items from his body.

Tell R I am very impressed.

My husband is an gyn-onc fellow so he won't be diagnosing or treating himself. And, he learned quite a lesson last December when he kept putting off belly pain that turned out to be a ruptured appendix that required surgery and 5 nights in the hospital.

LOL I thought (at least according to the TV shows) that NOTHING happens without a patient chart! LOL So, when the mole went to pathology, what chart went with it? *wink*

LOL - at least he did it!

Hilarious!

I think it might be a man thing.

My dad (who is NOT a surgeon) sliced open his hand (on accident) and proceeded to stitch it up himself with DENTAL FLOSS!

Look on the bright side, your husband actually went to school to do this :)

That is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! You have one talented man on your hands!

I think that's actually pretty cool!
But what I want to see is him remove one on his back! ;)

I think it is funny that he is wearing gloves to "operate" on his own body. Looks like he follows rules and procedures well! :)
Guess I can't try this on the one on my back, can I?!?!?!

I showed this to my husband and told him if he was a doctor, this is exactly what he would do - and we both laughed and laughed about that!

This is too funny. I thought I was brave giving myself B Comples shots. Have you seen the size of those needles? LOL!
