A Visit with Santa

We travelled to Atlanta today for a visit with the man in the red suit. The children were appropriately excited to see Santa, but all in all, it was fairly uneventful. I am actually relieved that they are not more into 'hero worship' of Santa than they are. They are clearly more interested in the gifts than the giver.
I did decide they should each be allowed to ask for 5 things, even though Santa only brings 3...especially considering I needed good ideas for gifts from Mom and Dad...and there is always room for smaller things in stockings. We made our lists last week just before e-mailing Santa. It was a helpful exercise to get them to commit!
The children brought their lists along today in case Santa needed a reminder. For posterity, they requested:
K: Bye Bye Baby, binoculars, a bracelet, a pink computer game and a remote controlled ladybug
P: Spike the dinosaur, GeoTrax, a jumprope, a bean bag, a robot
R: Race car track, Walkin Talkin Lightning McQueen, binoculars, computer game, remote controlled bumper cars
After our visit with Santa we had lunch with Grandmother and Granddaddy, then spent a couple of hours at the Children's Museum. The Bob the Builder exhibit has been on the kiddos' list of "Must Dos" for a few weeks.

This afternoon I asked the children what their favorite part of the day had been. Their unanimous reply was, "Everything!"

On the drive home, this view of the back of the car was all the proof we needed that it had been a great day.

R looks nearly teenage-ish in that first picture! Wow. They are growing so fast and getting so big. Looks and sounds like a fantastic day!

She is absolutely adorable in that last picture. I have been following your blog for a while now, catching up from the beginning, and it's so amazing to see them growing up to be big boys and girls. Before you know it, they will be teenagers, then getting married and having their own children.

Are you certain that it isn't the ORIGINAL Santa that you visited? Sure looks authentic to me!

The tree behind all of you was gorgeous, too!

Thank you for sharing your great day with us!

Where did you go to visit Santa? He's the best one I've ever seen.
As always, your children are precious!

Oh J Mom,
The kids are precious! I love the boots on the boys and K seems to love her brothers so much. You can see the joy in those kids' eyes I tell ya!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
PS: The bow shot is just too classic.
