I am having a bit of a Deeper Still withdrawal this evening. Real life has settled back in...and while it is certainly not bad, it is clearly not as much of a mountaintop as being at an amazing conference with 19,000 other women.
I have been working through my daily Bible reading. It has only wound up being early morning about 50% of the time, but I am getting into the Word daily. What a difference this is making! I was thinking tonight about the lyrics to a powerful song we sang in Atlanta, In Christ Alone by Travis Cottrell. Singing these words aloud before the Father that weekend was an incredibly emotional experience for me.
I am participating in a Summer Bible Study every other Tuesday night that is using Kelly Minter's book, No Other Gods. I have been challenged by her encouragement to honestly assess our life to see who we really, practically serve: our professed God or the functional gods of our daily life.
This song sums it up.

This is one of my all time favorites too. I get a thrill every time we sing it in church. Makes the truth come alive and surge through my being. Blessings for posting it for others to listen to.Keep plugging away at your quiet time, it will bless you and those around you and He will get the glory.
This is quickly become a new favorite for me. We sing it a good bit at our church and actually sang it Sunday.

I love that song too - it's by Keith Getty, and he and his wife write amazing songs - their website is http://www.gettymusic.com/. The words to ALL their songs are so powerful, and really aid in worshiping! I highly recommend their album, In Christ Alone (of course!)

I like this song too. I had never heard of "Deeper Still", but I googled it and was impressed. It must of been an awesome event.
Thank you so much for writing these words out! I heard this song at a conference myself several years ago, and the delivery of the Gospel just gave me chills! I could've just Googled it to get the words, I guess, but never tried! Thanks again!
Love this song as well! I also had the experience of singing it at a Beth Moore conference, a few years ago. I still get chills now thinking of the hundreds of ladies singing "up from the grave he rose again!" Shew - chills! Thanks for the YouTube link - I hadn't seen it.
