Celebrating Daddy!

The man of the house had a birthday today. Because he is an incredibly giving person, he came home with gifts for the kids...on HIS birthday.
The children think it is not a real birthday unless you have a theme. Back in October, mine was bicycles. Last month the children decided Daddy's theme should be fishing. We had a fish cake, wrapped gifts in fishing paper and the party activity was learning to fish.Daddy was an avid fisherman before children...and now he is working on three new fishing buddies.
It was about 6:15 when he got home, so the casting lessons were held in the driveway--in the dark. The children had a blast nonetheless and cannot wait to find a place to go "really" try them out.
We REALLY love you, Daddy. Your life is an incredible blessing to us! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

That is too sweet.

Like yours, our kids don't believe it's a real birthday without a theme. I believe my next birthday is a leaf theme. My husband will be having a triangle party this year.

Happy Birthday to Mr. Scott! May God continue to multiply your joy.

Sweet, sweet, sweet! I love that every birthday has to have a theme. I wonder if they will always feel that way. That is one cute family you have there!

SO sweet! Happy Birthday to your husband! I went back and read the last few entries - the one entitled "near misses" gave me chills...it just reaffirms that God has ordained each moment of ours! Your blog is SUCH a favorite of mine to stop off at and get a great Mommy perspective. You are so faithful to point back to God - I appreciate your words so much - thank you for writing so honestly and such words of truth! Sunshine

How sweet! He sounds a lot like M. He is dying to take the boys fishing and hunting. Hope y'all had a great time celebrating!
