My only sibling, my baby sister, accomplished a major milestone yesterday. Last night, she completed her last class in order to graduate from college. Although I received my own degree several years ago, Boo's graduation will mean more to me than my own.
Amanda overcame great odds to earn her degree. Her first attempt at college was sidetracked by an unexpected pregnancy during her first semester. She reentered college 2 years later as a young single mother. Somewhere in the midst of working full-time, studying and being a mom she also managed to meet and fall in love with a great man.
Her commitment and determination to achieve this goal is an inspiration. Eight years of hard work and long hours... I am so proud of you, little sis. Your big sister looks up to you. You are a great example to your children and mine. The five of us will be cheering loudly for you as you walk across that stage next month!
Congratulations!

there is nothing better than watching someone you love accomplish something so great
congratulations to your sister
You have no idea, really, what those words mean to me. Although it doesn't seem that way, your approval and happiness makes me want to do so much more with my life. Thank you for always being there, even when I didn't want it or understand it. I love all of you more than you will ever know. This graduation is as much for you as it is for my own small family unit.
I love you very much.
Amanda
Congrats Boo!
I have been catching up on your blog, the last couple of posts made me laugh, the one about the way things were made me a bit teary, and the one about the snake made me laugh to think of your reaction.
AWESOME! Congrats!
How wonderful and exciting for your sister! Sounds like she's an amazing person!!
