Halverson Benediction

Someone sent this to me today and I loved it. What a great thought. Regardless of who you are, what kind of day you are having, work you are doing or circumstances you are facing, may this speak to you.

“You go nowhere by accident.
Wherever you go, God is sending you.
Wherever you are, God has put you there.
He has purpose in putting you there.
Christ who indwells you has something He wants to do through you wherever you are.
Believe this and go in His grace and love and power.”
- Dick Halverson, former Chaplain of the US Congress

Jen,
I have been living my life by this for sometime. I am telling you it brings so much peace.
I no longer get upset by red lights, delays, pokey children, etc.
I feel like that is God taking care of me..
He may be preventing me from an accident or whatever. He knows.
It has brought me to a wonderful place.
Blessings.

I really have to thank you for these words. I live in Washington state, so your reach and touch goes far;) I'm having a problem with a very unfriendly, downright hateful neighbor(obviously she's not southern, smile) and I tossed up a quick word to God that I might get a word of encouragement today.God is so good and I thank you for being so faithful to share His words of encouragement.I'm not sure if this will allow me to comment but I'll try it.

This applies to just today, the little trips, and to the big things in life also. A comfort to read. xoxo
