Our 24 hour jaunt to Chattanooga was a wonderful, fun-filled trip. The kiddos loved the Tennessee Aquarium (especially touching the sturgeon and watching the seahorses, alligators and turtles.) Afterwards, we went to our first movie (Happy Feet) at the IMAX. The kiddos were quiet and still for about 45 minutes. They especially enjoyed the popcorn!

Chat-ta-choon-ga
We have actually travelled quite a bit with the children (including flying to Florida, Maine and California), but this week was the first time we have taken a trip that only involved the 5 of us. On all previous trips we have either taken help along, or met family and/or friends at our destination. I am VERY GRATEFUL for extra hands on trips, but it also felt so liberating for the children to finally be old enough to travel without extra help and/or strollers.
One of the best parts of the trip, was the good old fashioned family time we had in our hotel room. (This is K tickling R.)The following morning was spent at the children's museum--a huge hit. The children loved all of the activities, especially the music and dinosaur exhibits. We succeeded in wearing everyone out--even our little energizer bunny, P. My heart is drunk on giggles and smiles. What great memories we made!

Oh, Jen, they're amazing! I feel like I'm learning so much watching the things you are doing withy our threesome since they are only 2 months younger than my oldest! We just joined our local kids museum and my soon-to-be three-year-old LOVES it! Looks like a good time was had by all! God's continued blessings on your travel and your move.
"My heart is drunk on giggles and smiles" - loved that comment. Sweet photos. xoox
i'm enjoying your darling blog so far...i'm going to come back! very cute! precious children! blessings! : )
Hey, it's your fan Julia Pratt here.... did you ever travel with your three in a plane (on your laps) before they were two? We are going to Brazil (10 hr flight) in three weeks with all three on our laps, any advice???? (you can email me at juliapratt@hargray.com)
How fun!!! I love Chatty!! You made me want to visit!! The pictures are great!! And, I agree the comment about being drunk on giggles and smiles was perfect!!! Love it!
What great pictures. I love the "excavating tiger." One for the wall. looks like everyone had a fun time.
Next to Disney World, the Discovery Museum is my son's favorite place in the whole world! I showed him these pictures, and he wondered why he wasn't there as well. Maybe he thinks they only open when we're there! My husband works a lot in Chatt, so we sometimes go with him and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn (your hotel couch and desk chair look very familiar). Thanks for such a cute blog!
hey jen...i'm catching up on your blog after being gone. you have done a lot the past week! can't wait to see those before and after shots of your house. and we also love the children's museum in chattanooga...ella asked us just about every day after we went "when can we go back to the museum?!"
OH, thank you, thank you for posting these lovely photos. It's so nice to see happy kids - and your triplets are sooooo cute!
By the way, I love reading your prayer for your kids. One of these days I'd do something like that in my blog. Thank you for the inspiration.
Precious photos. I love the Tennessee Aquarium (and Chattanooga). So glad you had a fun trip. And, I know what you mean about taking a trip by yourselves. It's nice for family to tag along, but equally nice to have some time just to yourselves.
I love the upside down sunglasses in the last picture. How cute! It sounds like you had so much fun.
Sorry. I didn't mean to be anon! Oops!
What fun pictures and a great description of your family's trip. I was about to say that the photo of the painted safari man was my favorite, but then the one of them with their popcorn and IMAX glasses is adorable, and also the one with the upside-down glasses......golly, they are all precious pictures - and precious kids!
We LOVE family road trips and have taken many over the years. We decided a few years ago to take our two children to see all 50 states! Last summer was #49 (Alaska) and this year, drum roll please, is #50 - Hawaii!! We have had such a blast together and have AMAZING memories that my boys will have for a lifetime!
Hope your move has gone well. I can't wait to see new house photos!
Glad you all were able to get away by yourselves with the kids. I'm sure it was quite a change. And to be strollerless! Ahhhh....my dream. :) Along with being diaperless. :)
It looks like a great trip and fun family memories!
Kim
Simply beautiful, fabulous, gorgeous children! What a joy it must be to have them in your life
I just came across your blog and love it! This post is great because we just did all of the things you did. We live just south of Chattanooga about 15 minutes away. Next time you guys come back you should check out Rock City. Its especially great during the spring/summer months.
