Walking downstairs this morning, I complimented R on how careful he was being. He replied proudly, "I grow up like you, Mommy."
K: "You no grow like Mommy. She's a gurl. You grow like Daddy."
This conversation continued over lunch as the children took turns telling me what they wanted to be when they grew up.
K declared a cheerleader, then a baker. P was consistent with his desire to be a "basketball man." R had a mystery career in mind...a "bwayka."
"What?"
"A bway-ka"
"A baker?"
"No, a BWAY-ka!"
"What does a bwayka do, sweetie?"
"He BWAYKES things."
When then had a nice conversation about all the trouble you get in for breaking things...and that is why there are no professional breakers.

All I can do is laugh! Priceless!!!
That is too funny! They are so precious!
You kids say the cutest things:) I hope everyone feels much better soon!
Very cute! My son wants to be a basketball guy too and one of my daughters always says a "cheerleader mom." It is so neat to watch them grow and see the different gifts God has given them, knowing they are designed best for certain jobs.
So cute!
That's so funny!
My oldest just informed me she wants to be a DJ, chef, and dancer. Whew!
There are professional breakers. They get paid well too!!! :) Software testers and other technical testers for hardware and such. Probably not exactly the "bwaykes things" he had in mind though. However, I remember the old Samsonite commercials where they tried to break those suitcases. Quality control anaylst.
Forgot to add, that was a cute conversation. I love hearing what little kids want to do when they get big.
I've been reading for a while and so enjoy your posts. Your children are so blessed that you are doing this! The triplets make me laugh and remind me a little of what it was like when my twins were little! (They are ten now)
How funny! They are too cute!
Poppy says if he wants to be a professional breaker then he will help him.
Love,
Mom
My boy, when he was that age was obsessed with 'knock-knocks'- hammers! He could make one out of anything (like the lift on the recliner...pulled off of course!) We were not short on holes in the sheetrock and this from a BUILDER :)
He is now 13 and still has his mind on building and as a straight A student, has never strayed from plans to be an architect.
That is SO cute and funny!
