Maybe I should start working on ambition...

Every day seems to be career day around here. The children are constantly telling me about their career aspirations.

Last week R informed me that he wanted to grow up to be a man that break things. This weekend, K asked me to pray she could grow up and be a clown (so she could have silly, silly shoes). This morning, as I was changing his diaper, P told me very matter of factly that he wanted to grow up to be "a poop."

Good thing my former career was human resources and leadership development. It seems to really be paying off in my parenting. :-)

LOL...they are creative! My oldest ds used to say he wanted to be a guy with a fishing show, and if that didn't work out...maybe have a gun shooting show on TV!!! My dh doesn't do any of those (well, an occasional fishing trip but not often) so we were amazed.

Love your new look!

That is so cute! My 2yr old think he already works at Target, Walmart, Home Depot and as a mail man! Not sure where he got those ideas but I guess you know where I like to shop!

Your kids sound so sweet!!

Aren't you glad you're writing these things down? Don't worry, Sam had big aspirations to be "Mr. Peanut" (from the Planter's Peanuts jar) when he was little and it looks like he turned out to be a contributing member of society anyway. :)

The new look is awesome! I may have to go that way since I don't think I can change my top picture now with the new Blogger.

Hi Jen ... I'm a daily reader, but I don't think I've commented yet. I love your blog and your kids are adorable. I'm the oldest of six kids, the only girl, and when my brother Stephen was little we loved the movie "Annie." So, he would walk around the house saying "when I blow up, I wanna be Annie!!!!!" :) They say the cutest things.

For some reason my link to my blog didn't post with that comment. So that I don't look like a secretive stalker, it's asianchocolate.typepad.com. :)

Hi, Jen. I stumbled across your blog in bloggerland and after reading your personal information on the sidebar, I knew this was a blog I definitely would like to keep reading. 3 babies all at once?!! Wow, you must be amazing. And your life must be very interesting. I have 3 boys, but my youngest is 5 1/2 so the toddler years are long behind me. After reading what you went through to bring these babies into the world, I'm so grateful that God gave you the opportunity to see them grow up. Blessings to you!

Hi Jen, I found your blog through BooMama's blogroll last week. I spent the weekend reading through your archives. We have had similar experiences that I won't go into detail about in your comments section. I have 10 year old twin girls and I didn't have a textbook pregnancy either! Bedrest began at 14 weeks for me! As my girls have passed through the different stages of growing up, I have felt sad about leaving that stage behind, but you know what?! The next stage is always even better!! Our twins are also the first and last for us, so, like you, I just try to cherish the moments and make every second count! I also hate the negative comments about multiples. I have heard "double trouble" so much that I don't know whether to puke or scream!! My answer is always, "NO WAY, these girls are a DOUBLE BLESSING!" If all the strangers that make these ignorant comments knew the real story (and pain of infertility)they would just smile and say something positive. Thanks for sharing your beautiful blog! I also have a list of 31 character traits to pray for your children each day of the month. God Bless You-you are doing a wonderful job!!

Saw your post on your daughter being sick and that whole day! whew! Sounds so familiar - I cook the meals, am AnnieNanny and plan our mornings out as mom and multiples. I know how it can be doing it all. Glad you can take advantage of lots of help and a big house to spread out in. Loving our blessings!
