A couple of days ago, I commented on the fact that the kiddos had never attempted to climb out of their cribs. Yesterday, we picked up the big kid beds for the new house. Today, I walked into the nursery to tell my chatty children that they really needed to quiet down and take their naps.
As I rounded the corner, I saw ALL THREE straddling the rails of their respective cribs. Through giggles, K announced, "Look! We are riding our horsies!"
Looks like the timing of all this transition is right on schedule!

Whoa!! Now that is a funny/a little scary sight!!! They are so adorable!! Joshua never attempeted to climb out of his crib, and, bless his heart, we kept him there until he was 3.5!!! So, when is the actual moving date??
Hi! I've just discovered your blog and have really enjoyed reading through it. Your children are simply adorable! What a lovely family.
If it makes you feel any better my March '04 "baby" had to transition to a toddler bed at 20 months because her little brother was due to arrive shortly and she has never fallen out yet! *wink* She's fallen out of OUR bed during pre-bedtime snuggling but never out of hers! LOL
Good luck with the transition!
Yeehaw! Time to move out pardner.
In the meantime, you might put the mattresses on the floor and just let them sleep there. I have a feeling that once they ride the rails, they will ride again.
I bet that made your heart jump! My second one started climbing out around his first birthday. You're lucky they've stayed in this long! Big kid beds are always fun : )
