Day 7: Justice

Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right. Psalm 106:3 (NIV)

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8 (NIV)

Lord, you tell us in Scripture that you are a God who loves justice, mercy, compassion and faithfulness. Help these sweet children to grow in knowledge and understanding of how these seemingly opposite virtues can work together in the light of your love. Lord, you also speak of social justice, specifically for the orphaned, the widowed and the poor. Place a soft spot in my children's hearts for those you have commanded us to take extra care of, Father.

Help K, R & P have a keen understanding of right and wrong, dear God. Yet, in their zeal for justice, may they never lose sight of You and your unconditional love as their primary motivator.

I almost feel like I don't need to come up with my own prayers for my kids as I can just come here and echo yours. Actually I will never stop, but it's nice to come and read what you put so eloquently. I hope all of that made sense.
