After my post the other day about the importance of encouraging rather than intimidating each other as Moms, I LOVED reading this post from Shannon today.
Every now and then I catch a glimpse of the character my little people are developing and am overwhelmed at the thought of what place they will take in the world. It seriously blows me away to think about what God may have in store for their lives!
Even tonight as they are growling across the table at each other and giggling with mouths full of chicken and blueberries, I am reminded that there sits someone's mother, father, friend, true love, teacher, mentor, boss, employee. For just a brief instant they are mine to enjoy...so, I am off to drink them in!
And for the record, even amidst this season of tantrums, strong wills and asserting independence, I agree with Shannon... motherhood just gets more wonderful, more rewarding and infinitely more entertaining!

Those sweet babies will have a HUGE impact in this world! Look at there mommy and daddy and I believe 98% of success and stabilty is LOVE and how they are raised.
I have been wanting to know, are you homeschooling? I have always wondered.
Thanks, Paulette. You have such a gift for encouragement.
I do not have plans to homeschool, but really I have no idea what we are going to be doing about school yet. We have several good options in town. I already pray about it a lot and it is 2.5 years away!
Thanks for the reminder, Jen. It's so easy to get caught up in the minute and start a pity party on how hard things are at the moment. It is only for a season, but it's also encouraging to remember that I (or we) are not the only ones going through this stage.
What a beautiful post!!! I often sit and think about the kids as their future selves. So hard to imagaine all that they could be!
You have such a gentle heart towards your little ones. How blessed they are. And Yes It does get more and more rewarding!!!
I don't know if I would say it gets better, just different...I guess I like all of it! When they are young, there are so many things I love about that! Then as they get older...I find other new things to love about being a mommy. Every age brings great blessings!
