I had a Pastor Search Committee meeting and had to leave early, but Daddy relayed a funny story to me. Apparently, while caroling at one of the homes, P wandered up onto her doorstep (while everyone else was 6 feet back from the porch). The sweet woman picked him up and held him while everyone serenaded them. Give that boy a stage!

The kids slept 2 hours later than usual this morning and woke up excitedly telling me all about their adventure. What a wonderful Christmas memory!
I also overcame a major milestone yesterday...I dressed them differently. I wouldn't expect anyone to understand how emotional it actually was for me. Honestly, I feel very silly typing it. I, of course, am clearly aware of their unique identities--but I love thinking of them as a team, too. Seeing them in public, dressed differently, was yet another reminder for me of how they are growing up and into their own individual places in the world.

My boys are three years apart, and I still dress them alike for many, many outings--I think you said it best, they're a team. I want them to grow up knowing our family is the best team to be a part of, and that each of them is an important part of it.
My boys don't even look related to each other, so I hope the matching gear helps:)

That was the very first thing I noticed too! This is going to take some getting used to for us too.
Wes and Ryan like to dress alike sometimes and some of the time they don't. It's funny how often I will pick out several acceptable shirts and then let them choose which they want and they pick out the same. I know they will stop soon enough on their own.
When I take all the little guys out to a crowded place, I usually try to dress them in the same color shirts so that they are easier to spot in the crowd.
I am surprised that they let you dress them differently. I remember the time that I could not find the bear shirt and tried to dress kate in a shirt with a strawberry on it, while the boys had on bears. She would not have it. I'm sure Parker put on a show.

Oh Jen, you don't sound silly one bit! I RELATE! One of my great joys with my 1-yr-old twin boys is dressing them alike. And I see that not-too-far-off-in-the-future-day when they will choose what they wear. And I doubt they'll head off to school in matching baby blue shirts. Maybe just a few times though? To please their ol' Mom?

Ohhhh I love them dressed alike. My friend has Identicle triplet girls and she dressed them alike through kindergaten then let them choose after that. They are still young enough to dress alike for along time!! Lets take a vote? lol

I'm a twin mom to identical twin boys - and when we are at home I love to dress them differently because I know who is who....
But when we go to church/public I dress them alike.
I love the non-matching shirts---so cute! I love the way you dress them; we have very similar taste in clothes for little ones. I think matching is fine for a long time.
I dress my girls a like all the time. I just feel like it is easier at times to do this. I also like to have them dressed the same and they like it as well. I understand how emotional it can be to switch it up. Your children are adorable no matter what they wear! Merry Christmas!
I know exactly what you mean about dressing kids differently and I don't even have multiples. I love to dress my sons in the same clothes. Plus, I remember how much my Mom used to love to do that with my sister and I. Don't feel silly at all!
