This is what happens when you forgo a fancy beach photographer and attempt to take your own family photos...
My husband calls this photo my "SuperMom pose." Oh, how pride comes before the fall...literally!
A stranger felt sympathy for us and took the group shot. Unfortunately for my hair, there was a storm blowing in!
We were all laughing hysterically...these pictures will always make me smile thinking about the fun we had taking them.

looks like a fun time. i love how real those photos are...it will certainly help you remember those moments much more than a pretty set up pose!! :)
What a beautiful family!!!! I love the family shot... breeze in your hair and all.
It looks like you had a wonderful time ... and how LUCKY that you stayed at a spot with a closet full of age-appropriate toys!!
The photos are great. I especially love the black and white pic at the top. The kids looks so adorable.
I love the family picture! How great that someone was kind enough to offer help!
I think I prefer the homemade type photoshoots over professional. They definitely show how our life really is don't they? Looks like you had a wonderful time away!
Wonderful pics and if my hair could look that good with a storm blowing in I'd be thrilled!!!!
We just had a friend take pics of our kids. She always does an amazing job!
I love pictures that aren't posed and are just natural. What a beautiful background too. I love the supermom photo!
Amelia Island is so beautiful. I could totally live there! Unfortunately we only took a drive through there and didn't actually stay.
Those are great photos!
:)
What terrific pictures!!! That family shot is definitely Christmas card material. And I love the "super mom" photo and the one of Ryland and the kids walking toward the ocean. Don't those sweet little footprints just make you smile? Glad y'all had a good time!
Much love,
Marianna

will pray for transition time and back to school and work and ministry, know how it all comes crashing back all to quickly.
enjoy the fall cooling. it was in the 50's last night here in Delaware! woo-hoo.
oh, all of these gave me a BIG smile!
Sweet, sweet family.
Makes me want to drive the 2 1/2 hours to ATL and hug y'all in person. :-)
It's always fun trying to do your own photos. Kids never work the way you think they will, do they?
